Grass Valley, CA—October 27, 2012—The proprietor of the historic Holbrooke Hotel, Ian Garfinkel, wishes to thank the community for its support as the two year ownership anniversary approaches. Several recent changes to the Holbrooke Hotel—the historic landmark that had been on the brink of closure multiple times leading up to Garfinkel’s arrival—have resulted in an increase in business for the hotel, now operating in its 161^st year.

The Holbrooke Hotel opened in 1851, and has provided refreshments, fine dining and comfort for United States’ presidents Grover Cleveland, Ulysses S. Grant and Benjamin Harrison; writer Mark Twain and scores of other famous people have frequented the famed establishment. The Holbrooke Hotel has lured researchers of the paranormal for decades due to continuous claims of ghost sightings.

The Holbrooke now boasts a much improved menu, the addition of large flat screen televisions in the bar for sports enthusiasts, and musical entertainment Tuesday through Saturday nights. Special events and holiday catering is also offered by the Holbrooke Hotel.

Owner, Ian Garfinkel, thanks the public for their patronage and overwhelming support throughout the years, and invites all to come down and celebrate the historic Holbrooke Hotel’s elegance, success and beginning of a new era.

The Holbrooke’s 2012 Halloween Bash/Anniversary celebration is Saturday, October 27^th at 7:30 pm. There will be costume contests, live music by the Holbrooke All-Stars and there is no cover charge.  Come down and help celebrate The Holbrooke Hotel.
