The Golden Gate Saloon is known as the old­est con­tin­u­ously oper­at­ing saloon west of the Mis­sis­sippi. As leg­end has it, not even Pro­hi­bi­tion could keep the good times and spir­its from flow­ing in our bar.

Today you can enjoy live music Thurs­day through Sat­ur­day nights. Fine cock­tails, select beers and vin­tage wines com­ple­ment an irre­sistible saloon menu. Whether it’s a relax­ing lunch you’re after, a cock­tail at happy hour or a din­ner end­ing aper­i­tif, you can count on enjoy­able times with good friends and great service.

If you’re a his­tory buff, ask about the orig­i­nal bar back, brought over by ship from Italy in 1851. Bet­ter yet, come in for a cock­tail or a glass of wine and ask the bar­tender to point out one of the many area his­to­ri­ans who fre­quent the Hol­brooke. They’ll be happy to share the area’s col­or­ful history.
