Forget the world above. Join us for custom-blended classic drinks, beers on tap, a wine list that won’t disappoint, and a rotating schedule of intriguing events!
Reputed to have been both brothel and speakeasy in past lives, The Iron Door has been completely reimagined with warm amber lighting on original stone walls, plush banquettes and a beautiful custom bar set against original metal doors that once led to a series of underground tunnels.

Every First Thursday
Hearken, ye lovers of fantasy, for there is now a place to dance and dwell. Below, in a former speakeasy with secret tunnels, immerse yourself in a night of enchantment with the haunting melodies of Loreena McKennitt, Qntal, Helium Vola, Faun, Wardruna, Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Garmarna, Enya, Bel Canto, and other spellbinding artists. Enjoy quality spirits, flickering candlelight, and possible sightings of a rumored dragon.

Country Karaoke.
Last Thursday of the Month, 8-10PM
Get ready for a night of Country Karaoke in the Iron Door! Entry is free, and for just $5, you can sing your heart out all night, hosted by the charming and talented Cloaca. Grab the mic, belt out your favorite tunes, and let the good times roll!

Comedy Night.

Ready to laugh your socks off? Swing by the Iron Door Speakeasy on the last Friday of every month for Comedy Night hosted by Jon Shea. Our historic hotel’s hidden gem hosts the finest local jokesters plus visiting talent. Get your friends together and come and get your giggle on!

When the local speakeasy decides to step aside for a flamboyant limited engagement, you might want to have a look. The Iron Door is going on hiatus until January to bring you Miracle® at The Holbrooke!
The Holbrooke Hotel, built in 1865, is home to a gorgeous speakeasy bar, frequented by famous and infamous guests over its 150+ year history. But the Iron Door is yet again making Gold Country history in 2024 for a whole new reason – in November the Iron Door Speakeasy transforms into international smash ‘Miracle’ pop-up Christmas bar: A Gold Country exclusive engagement.
